Podcast Movement groveled to the liberal & leftist overlords after complainers acknowledged the foreboding presence of a major podcast host in the building. It was as though a disturbance was felt in the force. Ben Shapiro and his entourage arrived and shook hands, greeting fans there. Not only this, but Podcast Movement then severed their relationship with The Daily Wire after these fragile convention goers complained online. It was beyond the pale.

National Review covers the story here as well.

It is hard to define the pain that these ideologues must have felt when their composure was cracked after seeing the famous orthodox Jewish podcaster there in the building with their own eyes. People might have literally died.

Obviously, I’m being funny. But the opportunity for humor here is very likely completely lost on these poor souls. As they say, a robust sense of humor is a sign of intelligence.

Just listen to this sad, pathetic language being used here...

"Hi folks, we owe you an apology before sessions kick off for the day. Yesterday afternoon, Ben Shapiro briefly visited the PM22 expo area near The Daily Wire booth. Though he was not registered or expected, we take full responsibility for the harm done by his presence." – Podcast Movement at #PM22 (@PodcastMovement) August 25, 2022

Somebody must have busted a gasket. But at least we get comedy fodder for this performative self-immolation.

My hope is that after these clearly defined lines get drawn in the sand by fragile egos, maybe the Daily Wire, Bongino, The Blaze, and other big time conservative podcasters will consider forming their own podcast convention for more open-minded listeners. Maybe call it the ConPod Convention? Or PodCon? CodPon? Whatever gets people to feel less like an authoritarian close-minded Karen. Less like an anti-American hater of human rights who can actually tolerate a diversity of opinions and ideas. The American Freedom-Loving Podcast Convention? This could be a hard concept to swallow, I know.
